West Virginia (WOAY)- If you’ve used SNAP Stretch this year, you can earn early access to sign up for the 2025 Grow This: WV Garden Challenge.
The SNAP stretch program allows SNAP and EBT recipients to purchase more fresh produce with their funds while supporting local farmers.
To participate, complete a brief online survey and receive your free seeds.
Participants will complete challenges to earn points for their county, and winning counties will be awarded grant money to fund community projects.
Early access to the sign-up survey guarantees that you’ll be able to participate.
While WVU Extension distributes thousands of seeds each year, it has limited funding and must close the survey when supplies run out.
SNAP Stretch participants can sign up early by completing the survey and emailing keely.Blankenship@mail.Wvu.Edu to confirm it is done.
