West Virginia (WOAY)- West Virginia State University Extension Service is teaming up with the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to host another round of free high tunnel workshops this month in Beckley and Princeton.
The next sessions are set for July 10 in Beckley and July 24 in Princeton, both running from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
This time, the focus is on pest and disease management in high tunnels.
Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just getting started, organizers say these hands-on workshops will offer practical tools to keep your crops healthy.
Future topics include summer vegetable production in August, fruit, flower, and herb production in September, and winter veggies in October.
Workshops are free and open to all, but space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.
Beckley sessions will be held at the NRCS field office on Ragland Road, and Princeton’s at the NRCS office on Hardwood Lane.
This program is supported by the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
