WVSP to conduct sobriety checkpoint in Raleigh County on December 12

Beaver, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Raleigh County on Tuesday, December 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

The checkpoint will take place along U.S. Rt. 19, approximately 1 mile south of the intersection with Airport Road in Beaver. 

The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of operating a vehicle while under the influence. 

WVSP urges the public to assist them in preventing drunk driving by reporting intoxicated and drug-impaired drivers to local authorities.
