WVDNR accepting art submissions for Annual Wildlife Calendar contest

West Virginia (WOAY)—The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) is inviting artists to submit their wildlife paintings for the next West Virginia Wildlife Calendar.

The WVDNR chooses 12 paintings annually for its award-winning calendar and encourages all artists, especially those from the Mountain State, to submit their art.

A $200 prize will be awarded to each artist whose painting is selected for the calendar, and the artist chosen for the cover will win an additional $500.

The art must be original color paintings on canvas or another flat surface and must depict native game and fish species or other wildlife found in West Virginia.

Paintings depicting hunting or fishing activities will qualify.

The submission deadline is February 19, 2025.
