Wood Iron Eatery in Fayetteville to offer free coffee to healthcare workers during COVID-19 crisis

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – The Wood Iron Eatery, a locally owned coffee shop and restaurant is giving away free coffee to medical workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Jeffrey Toth, owner of the Wood Iron Eatery, says it’s important that we recognize the strain that healthcare workers are going through right now.

“We have friends and family in both fields and they’re just working around the clock, and they’re forced to work where they’re seeing people who are potentially infected. So we wanted to, you know, it’s our way of saying hey thank you for helping the greater good,” Toth said.

The Wood Iron Eatery’s physical location is technically closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 crisis and is instead serving customers by offering deliveries. Healthcare workers only need to call the restaurant and say where they work to be offered a free cup of coffee.
