WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): The National Weather Service has issued both a Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning in our area due to a system that will drop sleet and freezing rain throughout most of the area. The eastern counties, especially within the Greenbrier Valley, will experience freezing rain and sleet, making roads slippery.
Please be careful traveling on Sunday in these conditions, as even a little ice can make a vehicle lose traction.
Over the next week, we will have on-and-off rain across the region as we are bombarded by several low pressures coming to the east. Temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s while the rain is in town, so no ice or snow is expected. Friday is in the clear, however, just in time for the weekend!
