West Virginia Wesleyan planning to offer courses on former Alderson Broaddus campus

Philippi, WV (AP)- A West Virginia college says it plans to offer degree courses and training on a campus where a different university folded last year.

West Virginia Wesleyan says it’s partnering with an events venue business that bought the former campus of Alderson Broaddus University.

West Virginia Wesleyan President James Moore says the plan must first obtain approval for education accreditation.

Battlers Knob LLC purchased the campus in Philippi for $5 million earlier this year.

It now offers the site for public and private events such as wedding venues and business meetings.
