Raleigh County, WV (WOAY)- The streak continues, the Flying Eagles boys soccer team will be playing in their home stadium for the state tournament!
The 4-seed Huntington Highlanders made the trip to what will be the stage for a state championship, but to compete in that round they had to get past the top-seeded Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles.
Thursday’s game remained close for most of the first half, but a flurry of goals by the Flying Eagles gave them a 3-1 halftime lead.
Then, Hagen Hall capped it off with his second goal of the game, 11 seconds into the second half and that would be enough for Woodrow Wilson to advance to the state soccer tournament for the third straight season.
