Bluefield, WV (WOAY) Kids from Mercer and Bland County public schools had the opportunity to be inspired on Thursday.
At the historic Granada Theater in Bluefield, they watched the movie October Sky and then got to meet the area’s local legend, the one who wrote the book that the movie is based on, Homer Hickam.
WOAY was there to see the kids realize they can do anything if they decide to do it.
