West Virginia Great Barrel Company in White Sulphur Springs seeing growth in pandemic

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Great Barrel Company opened its doors in White Sulphur Springs back in March.

Shortly after, the state of the world and our businesses changed.

The company brought in a new industry that creates barrels primarily for whiskey.

General Manager Brett Wolfington says despite travel restrictions and COVID setbacks, the company has still been able to see some growth.

“We’re moving along,” he said. “We’re still building our volume and things are looking pretty good right now. This has been a challenge, but thankfully the whiskey industry hasn’t been hit too hard, and so we still see a lot of growth in our industry, and we expect to be a big part of that.”

Wolfington says none of his workers have tested positive and says they have plenty of space to spread out.
