Walmart to Remodel 10 Stores Across West Virginia

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Walmart is planning major renovations to 10 stores in West Virginia this year.

According to a media release from the company, the renovations are designed to improve the shopping experience with updated store designs, expanded product selections, and improved services such as pickup and delivery. Upgrades will also feature modernized pharmacies with wider aisles, private screening rooms, and new checkout areas.

“Our stores often serve as the heartbeat of the communities we operate in, and these remodels are a testament to our dedication to enhancing that role, said Glenda Fleming Willis, Walmart Senior Vice President for the North Business Unit. “By investing in our stores and associates, we are not only improving the shopping experience but also reinforcing our commitment to being a vital part of the community’s fabric, helping to build a brighter future for all.”

West Virginia Walmart locations scheduled for renovation include:

  • 1 Walmart Ln, Grafton

  • 100 Buckhannon Crossroads, Buckhannon

  • 369 Scott Fork, Sutton

  • 1976 Jefferson St N, Lewisburg

  • 204 Town Center Rd, Fayetteville

  • 100 McGinnis Dr, Wayne

  • 201 Greasy Ridge Rd, Princeton

  • 320 Mallard Lane, Mason

  • 77 Norman Morgan Blvd, Logan

  • 200 Academy Dr, Ripley

The remodeling projects are expected to be completed within the next 12 months as part of Walmart’s continued investment in its West Virginia stores.
