BLUEFIELD, VA (WOAY) – Bluefield College and VCOM jointly announced that they’ll join forces.
In an effort to expand Bluefield’s College healthcare curriculum VCOM and Bluefield College has merged together.
“What we bring to the table is the ability to enhance the existing healthcare programs and add additional,” said VCOM Chairman John Rocovich.
The agreement to restructure will require approval from Bluefield College’s accreditor. If approved both institutions will begin merging by January 2021.
“It increases facility, it increases students, and it increases the output and it will make a significant economic impact,” said Rocovich.
Through the merger, Bluefield College will keep its name and remain a separate entity.
“It further cements the relationships that we already worked together with our Masters of Arts degree and Biomedical Sciences. So this just strengthens additional programs,” said Bluefield College President David Olive.
