West Virginia (CNN)- If you still need a last-minute Christmas gift, you might want to consider buying them a Mega Millions lottery ticket.
Friday’s jackpot is over $1.15 billion.
The jackpot will be over $516 million if the winner chooses the cash prize.
There was no grand prize winner in the Christmas Eve drawing.
The lottery said its jackpot soared past a billion dollars for the eighth time in the game’s 20-year history.
If a lucky individual wins the jackpot on Friday, it will be the fifth largest in Mega Millions in history.
Even though no tickets matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing, four tickets still won one million dollars each.
According to the Mega Millions website, those tickets were sold in California, Missouri, Wyoming, and Pennsylvania.
