OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Rosa Foldi reunited with her sister after not seeing her for 59 years.
The two sisters were from a separated family since their early childhood, with one living in Florida and the other in Oak Hill.
One sister’s birthday was this week, and the two decided that it was finally time to meet. One of their family members reached out to federal resources to reconnect them.
“My one sister contacted the welfare department in Alexandria looking for myself and my brother Tommy,” Foldi said.
Foldi had never even seen her sister until this week. She claimed it was like seeing her mother again.
The two sisters do plan to keep in touch from now on via telephone and social media.
