Two people arrested in Lewis County arson case

Charleston, WV (WOAY) – Two people have been arrested for allegedly burning a car in Lewis County.

According to a post on the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Facebook page, 38-year-old Dylan McCracken and 45-year-old Dawn Pietripaoli have been arrested and charged with third-degree arson for allegedly setting a stolen vehicle on fire in an empty lot in Jane Lew on March 16th, 2025.

Investigators with the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office were able to determine that the fire was incendiary in nature and a warrant for McCracken and Pietripaoli was served by WV State Police and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Both suspects are currently in the Central Regional Jail in Flatwoods. Bond for Dylan McCracken was set at $120,000.00, and bond for Dawn Pietripaoli was set at $100,000.00.
