Two men plead guilty to reentry into the United States following deportation

Huntington, WV (WOAY)- Two Mexican nationals living illegally in Huntington have pleaded guilty to reentry following deportation and have been sentenced to time served.

30-year-old Jesus Eduardo Villeda-Villegas and 29-year-old Brigido Cayetano-Galvez were each encountered by law enforcement in April of this year.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that both men had previously been deported: Villeda-Villegas in 2015 from Texas, and Cayetano-Galvez twice, in 2015 from Arizona and again in 2017, in Huntington.

Neither had identification documents nor legal permission to reenter the U.S., and neither obtained consent from Homeland Security to return.

ICE has placed immigration detainers on both men, meaning they will be transferred to ICE custody for removal proceedings.
