WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): A dry, warm and humid pattern is ahead and then occasional rain arrives.
WEATHER OVERVIEW: Temperatures will reach into the low 80s but the dew points will soar Thursday and Friday. Low pressure ensures scattered rain Friday and Saturday and then cooler, less humid weather returns Sunday through Tuesday. Cool air aloft could trigger a shower or sprinkle Sunday through Tuesday but rain amounts will be minimal.
DROUGHT STATUS: Several drought reports submitted to the U.S. Drought Monitor in the last 24-hours indicate a likely deterioration of the drought status in the Greenbrier Valley into Pocahontas County and along I-79 in central West Virginia.
