Cabell County, WV (WOAY) – Three people were found dead following a house fire in Cabell County on Tuesday morning.
According to ABC affiliate WCHS in Charleston, the fire happened at an abandoned structure in the 300 block of West Eight Street in Huntington.
When fire crews arrived, they encountered heavy smoke, but the fire appeared to be contained. Once the fire was fully extinguished, firefighters found 3 people dead inside the structure.
The bodies have been sent to the WV Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification and to determine the exact cause of death.
Huntington Police and Fire Departments, West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office, Huntington Fire Marshals and Huntington Police Department are all investigating the incident.
