Huntington, WV (WOAY)- A third person is now facing charges in connection with last week’s brutal assault in Huntington’s Ritter Park.
20-year-old Matthew Diamond of South Shore, Kentucky, was arrested on a felony charge of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony—accused of recording and sharing video of the July 16 attack.
Police say Diamond was identified through witness accounts, including his role as a local drag performer and a vehicle with a sexually explicit bumper sticker.
His arrest follows strong coordination between Huntington Police and the Greenup County Sheriff’s Department.
This marks the third arrest tied to the disturbing video circulating online, showing two men beating a defenseless 22-year-old Huntington man.
18-year-old Brock Mazdra and 21-year-old James Clapper were taken into custody Sunday night—both charged with felony malicious assault.
The victim is still recovering at a local hospital.
Authorities say no one involved in this vicious act will escape justice.
