There was a preliminary hearing for the Summers County murder investigation

HINTON, WV (WOAY)- Last week, we reported on an ongoing homicide investigation in Summers County. Tuesday at 1 p.m., there was a preliminary hearing at the Summers County Magistrate Court in Hinton.

Curtis Brown Pack stood before Magistrate Judge Jack Helms regarding his murder charge. Pack was charged with the murder of Johnny Edward Lind last Thursday after a lengthy investigation by the West Virginia State Police.

Trooper First Class Christian Harvey testified with sufficient evidence that led to the case being held over to the next term for the grand jury. Pack remains in Southern Regional Jail without bond.
