Clouds will continue to lower and thicken overnight with rain developing by 3 a.m. Thursday.
A steady light rain early Thursday with fog along and east of the western flank of the Greenbrier Valley will give way to breaks in the clouds, a developing northwest breeze and falling temperatures. Those gaps in the clouds will last about 5 minutes and those traveling west of the valley will see occasional spits and flurries as the coldest air of the season pours into the region.
Saturday through Wednesday will bring a chill with snow expected Friday, Sunday and early Tuesday. Snow accumulation will total a dusting for much of the region, except 2-4″ in western Pocahontas County.
