Fayette County, WV (WOAY)- Fayette Station Road will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic on Saturday, May 3, for the New River Gorge Rim to Rim race.
The closure will be in effect from 6:00 am to 10:00 am and will extend from the intersection of Lansing Loop and CR 82/Fayette Station Road.
If you are planning to use the Fayette Station or Teays Road for river shuttle services, you are advised to plan accordingly.
There will be restricted access during the closure.
It is recommended to schedule shuttles either before 6:00 am or after 10:00 am to avoid delays.
Climbers heading to the bridge buttress can access the area from the Burnwood day use area.
All travelers are advised to expect potential delays and consider using alternate routes when possible.
