Tazewell County teacher observer tests positive for COVID-19

TAZEWELL COUNTY, VA (WOAY) – A Tazewell County teacher observer has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Tazewell County Public Schools, the Health Department was immediately notified, and contract tracing was conducted and have been notified.  The individuals will remain in isolation until the Health Department deems it safe for their return.

Over the weekend, Tazewell County Schools were notified that an employee in the Bluefield area had also tested positive.  Contract tracing and cleaning was performed.
