Bluefield, VA (WOAY)-The Tazewell County Animal Shelter is now under a Red Alert and is completely full.
In just the past week, they’ve taken in 12 dogs from one agency alone, along with several others from neighboring partners.
The shelter is stretched to its limits, and while they are still responding to emergencies and animal bite cases, they are currently unable to respond to stray dog calls.
Officials are urging community members who are considering adopting a pet to do so now.
