HINTON, WV (WOAY) – School is back in session, and with more kids learning remotely, the Summers County Adult Education Program encourages parents to stop by and brush up on skills to help their children.
Summers County Adult Education Program helps adults with high school equivalent preparation, college preparation, and college tutoring. In addition, the program is now offering a new service geared towards helping parents better understand their child’s schoolwork.
“We want to be here to help out parents. We know with virtual learning and blended learning things are going to be crazy and kids might not have access to resources or teachers and they might turn to their parents and ask for help,” said Instructor Jared Bailey.
Summers County Adult Education Program plans to reach out to the local teachers and principles to get access to lesson plans being taught in public schools
