Summer Academy and Food Service Program begin in Fayette County

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Fayette County Schools’ Summer Academy and Food Service Program are underway.

Students aged Pre-K through high school are afforded instruction and free meals every day through the academy. Both breakfast and lunch are offered to the students.

“They get hot meals,” said Oak Hill Summer Principal Aquila Zutaut. “It’s not a grab and go, breakfast or lunch. In the classroom, they’re having hands-on activities for reading, math and science.”

Over 200 students were at the Oak Hill site for the beginning of the summer academy.
