Stormy Tomorrow; Cooldown at the End of Next Week

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Tomorrow will bring more widespread storms to the region thanks to the heat and humidity across the eastern United States. Some storms may become strong with heavier rainfall and gusty winds, though they will likely stay below severe risk. Severe weather will mainly be to our east besides a storm or two potentially turning in Pocahontas county. The humidity and heat will be going away, but not right now. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:

Storms will linger through Monday before the atmosphere calms a bit, leaving us humid and hot for the next few days. Starting Tuesday, the skies will be mostly sunny, though that won’t help give us any relief. Temperatures will reach 90 degrees on Wednesday, and with the humidity will be brutal for the middle of the week. Make sure to have sunscreen, water, and light clothing. We’ll eventually see reprieve, but not for a little while. Here’s a look at the Dew Point Trend:

Thursday will mark the next significant disturbance across the region. A cold front approaching from the Great Lakes will pass over the region, giving us from potential severe storms and a rainy day ahead. We’ll be keeping an eye on this front as the situation develops for any changes in severe weather potential.

However, this is also where the relief comes in. Thursday already see a significant drop in temperature, but we’ll go even further and stick to the high 70s once Friday rolls around. The weekend will be wonderful as well with a refreshing 78 degrees and mostly sunny skies. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
