OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Some strong to severe storms rolled through the region this afternoon, prompting a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and numerous Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. The storms are gone now, with only scattered showers left over.

Now we will have to watch out for some patchy fog, especially in places that saw rain. Lows will be quite mild, most areas will still be around 60 degrees by the morning, once again closer to the average highs than the average lows.

Tomorrow, there will be more chances of showers and storms, but the chances and intensity will be lower than today. While the rain chances will go down, the temperatures will actually be going up. Highs will rise to around 80 degrees on average, with the usual warmer and cooler spots doing their usual thing. Tomorrow night will be similar to tonight.
The mild weather lasts into the holiday weekend before another front comes into the area. Unlike these previous fronts, this one will not stall out to the north, as the high pressure over the western Atlantic (the one that kept the weather nice for the Artemis II launch today) will push east, allowing it to move through.

On Easter Sunday, as it goes through, temperatures will top out in the lower 60s. Behind the front, we’ll see lows in the 30s for several days running, and highs will drop even further, only winding up in the mid-50s. That’s below the normal, and quite a change from the current setup. At least the weather will be drier.
