WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): This morning is another chilly one, but you will be able to shed a layer or two later today as temperatures rise into the mid-50s. The only blemish on the day is the slight chance of isolated showers this afternoon, though it is becoming more likely that they dissipate before reaching our neck of the woods. Still, a rain jacket might be handy in case some of those showers reach us from the Great Lakes. Overall, today is one of the calmer days of the week. More weather is on the way tomorrow and heading into next week, ringing in Spring with an active pattern. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Tomorrow will be nice for most of the day, and temperatures will finally break the 60-degree mark for the first time in a bit. Partly sunny skies will turn cloudy tomorrow evening as the next line of storms moves in. A low-pressure system will move through the eastern states, dragging this line of storms along with it. While severe weather is not expected, some decent rainfall and lightning are possible. Make sure any outdoor activities are done before tomorrow evening, as conditions will become undesirable by then. This round of showers and storms bulls through the region overnight, lasting through early Saturday morning before leaving the region.

After the lingering showers move on, Saturday will be a gorgeous day. Highs in the mid-60s, partly cloudy skies, and plenty of time to do any outdoor activities. Sunday will be much of the same through the day, but the good weather comes to an end on Sunday night. The next cold front will pass through the region, bringing more showers and dropping temperatures by 20 degrees or between Sunday and Monday afternoon. While little to no thunderstorms are expected with this front, it will be a damp and gloomy day ahead to start the week. At the very least, it will be a calmer start than we had to this week.
