Check below for a detailed Friday night high school football forecast.
There is good potential for several 2-hour school delays Friday morning thanks to the overnight Thursday snowfall. Friday will bring occasional snow showers and spotty freezing drizzle with additional trace snow amounts and likely no ice accumulation. Below the forecast for the high football games in our area (7-10 p.m.):
The wind will be west at 10 mph with spits of flurries, perhaps a patch of freezing drizzle. The wind chills (noted in the graphic above) will remain steady in the lower 20s. Roadways going to and from the games will remain wet; only icy patches will be above 3,000 feet in western Pocahontas and Greenbrier County.
Remember to dress in multiple layers to stay warm. One thick layer such as a large winter coat is less efficient at trapping body heat. Wear several layers under the winter coat to help trap body heat.
