Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)- Are you looking to make a difference and get rewarded for it?
The Southern Appalachian Labor School (SALS) is offering an excellent opportunity for donors to give and receive, thanks to the Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP).
SALS has received over $33,000 in West Virginia state tax credits.
NIP credits are now available to donors who give at least $500 in cash, property, vehicles, building materials, supplies, or even stock.
In return, you can get a 50% tax credit.
That’s not a deduction, but a reduction off of your tax bill.
Credits are available for donors who give through June 30, 2026.
However, donors who give before December 31 of this year can apply them to their current taxes.
Donations support vital SALS programs, including youth education and housing, as well as food pantries, feeding programs, and community centers.
