Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) If you’re looking for your next great read or a bargain this weekend, the Southern Appalachian Labor School is hosting two sales in Oak Hill.
On Saturday, May 2, the organization is holding its monthly book sale from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the annex behind the historic Oak Hill School on School Street.
Shoppers can browse a large selection of books, including fiction, classics, romance novels, westerns, children’s books, cookbooks, history titles, and mystery thrillers.
Organizers say many of the books are in like-new condition, with most paperbacks priced at just 50 cents and hardbacks selling for one dollar.
At the same time, a multi-family indoor yard sale will also be happening inside the school’s main facility.
Proceeds from both events will benefit the Southern Appalachian Labor School’s children’s programs, including its upcoming feed and read summer program.
Parking is available on-site, and the annex is accessible through the lot on the right side of the school.
