Slowly Recovering; Isolated Showers Return Tomorrow

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): After a very active start to the week, we finally get a breather of sorts. The morning will be very cold once again, so please make sure to bundle up and knock the frost off of your car. Black ice is still an issue as well, so please be careful driving to your destination this morning. Thankfully, temperatures start to recover in the afternoon, though they only reach the low 40s at their peak. The only kink in the forecast is the slight chance of a shower this afternoon, but these will likely dissipate at the state line before even reaching our area. However, rain will return to the forecast later this week.

Thursday and Friday will feel warmer as temperatures continue to increase, but the chance of isolated showers returns for the second half of the week. Both days will have the highest chance of showers in the evening thanks to a smaller system of showers moving in. Thursday will be a small cluster of showers while Friday will be driven by a low-pressure system in the northeast. Either way, both days have the possibility of showers during the evening commute and overnight before they dissipate.

This weekend will be much better as temperatures get into the mid-60s. Saturday will be partly cloudy through the day while Sunday will be mostly sunny until the evening. This weekend is a great opportunity to get out an enjoy the spring weather before the next cold front moves through Sunday night. Showers will move through the region, and while temperatures will be colder, they will not fall into the values we saw for St. Patrick’s Day. Wintry mix is possible early Monday morning, but will end up as mostly rain before leaving later on Monday. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
