WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Showers have been dropping rain on the area overnight and into the morning, keeping us wet for the morning commute. Showers will move away for the most part by the afternoon, though the slight chance of a few more popping up does exist. Skies will stay mostly cloudy today, keeping us on the lower side of 75 across the region. Unfortunately, we won’t have a completely dry day for a bit, as rain chances continue through the week thanks to moisture from the southern states. As the weekend comes, the chances of rain continue. The National Hurricane Center has also issued a 30% chance of a tropical depression forming on the Carolina coast, which could bring even more moisture to our area. However, the current trend shows showers and thunderstorms staying to our south. In addition to the rain chances, temperatures will start warming up once again. While we won’t see temperatures like we did in July, we’ll be in the 80s across the region for the first time in a little while.
