BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The latest class of students in the Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Beckley Program has officially graduated.
In a ceremony held at the Historic Black Knight today, the latest group of graduates were honored. One of those graduates is Kim Frye, an account manager at WOAY.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to learn how we can all come together to learn how to be involved in our community. I was more interested in getting as much information as I could,” Frye said.
There are now more than 100 graduates from the program in total. It aims to develop the area’s future leaders and keep them involved with the community.
The session covers everything from leadership itself to community service.
“It takes a village. If we can all get together and do things together, it’s amazing what we can accomplish,” Frye said. “I encourage anybody to try to do this program if you are more involved with your community.”
