BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Division of Highways is holding a public informational workshop about its proposed road projects on the campus of WVU Tech.
It’s being called the WVU Tech Campus Corridor Project. South Kanawha Street will be converted to a one-way southbound road between Beaver Avenue, Johnstown Road, and Main Street.
Minnesota Avenue will become a one-way northbound road entirely and be extended to connect with Beaver Avenue.
A roundabout will be built at the intersection of South Kanawha Street and Beaver Avenue/ Johnstown Road.
There will not be a formal presentation at the meeting. The public will instead be able to ask questions and provide written comments. There will also be handouts with additional information about the project.
The meeting is being held at Beckley City Hall from 4 to 7 p.m. on May 21.
