BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Shade Tree and Smooth Impressions Car Clubs held their fourth weekly cruise today.
Cars lined up at Park Middle School and drove through the area. They also offered to let graduating seniors ride in the cruise while wearing their caps and gowns.
The president of Shade Tree Car Club Mike Vernatt says he’s happy with the continued community support for the cruises.
“We have kids from little ones up to older just waving on the banister hollering at us. And people love this where they can’t be getting out, they love seeing something like this. It’s more like a parade than anything,” Vernatt said.
The neighborhood cruises will be offered every other weekend starting in June and continuing through July. The next cruise is scheduled for June 13.
