Senior Status Judge, Robert B. Stone passed away today, November 6th, at the age of 79.
Judge Stone was a West Virginia native, being born in Morgantown on December 18th, 1943. Judge Stone served as a circuit judge in Monongalia County for twenty-four years and was also a senior-status judge for almost 15 years.
Prior to this, he served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Monongalia County from 1981 to 1985. Judge Stone served as chief judge for years, until he retired on December 31, 2008.
