Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – The Secretary of State’s office announces 1,373 new registered businesses statewide for December.
The top five counties in total businesses registered for the month were Berkeley, Raleigh, Kanawha, Monongalia, and Jefferson.
The Secretary of State’s Business & Licensing Division reports that statewide, West Virginia has registered a total of 18,984 new businesses in the last 12-month period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
The Secretary of State’s office offers programs that provide waivers for registration fees for veterans, active duty military, and their families, as well as young entrepreneurs.
