West Virginia (WOAY)- The Secretary of State’s office announces over 1,221 new registered businesses statewide for February.
Pleasants, Mason, Raleigh, Marshall, and Morgan were the top five counties in new business growth for the month.
Kanawha, Monongalia, Berkeley, Raleigh, and Jefferson counties led the state in total businesses registered for February.
The secretary of state’s business and licensing division reports that statewide, West Virginia registered 13,563 new businesses from March 1st, 2024, to February 28th, 2025.
Raleigh County is leading all 55 counties with an 18.86% growth rate during the one-year time span.
