Secretary of State Kris Warner Reports 2,057 New WV Business Registrations for June of 2026

West Virginia (WOAY) West Virginia entrepreneurs continued to fuel business growth in June. 

According to Secretary of State Kris Warner, more than 2,000 new businesses were registered across the state during the month.

Kanawha County led the way with 153 new registrations, followed by Berkeley, Monongalia, Raleigh and Jefferson counties. 

Raleigh County recorded 88 new businesses, ranking fourth statewide. 

Nearly 60 of the new registrations were nonprofits, while more than 200 business owners qualified for fee waiver programs designed to help veterans, military families and entrepreneurs under the age of 30. 

Over the past year, West Virginia has registered nearly 24,000 new businesses, bringing the statewide total to more than 174,000 active business registrations.
