Beckley, WV (WOAY)- The Salvation Army is all about doing the most good.
The Salvation Army of Beckley, in partnership with ARH Hospital and WVU Tech, is doing the most good for Raleigh County by hosting community Thanksgiving meals on Thursday, November 14.
ARH Hospital provided 5,000 dollars to purchase food and supplies for the WVU Tech culinary program, which will prepare 500 meals for the community.
Two meals will be served on Thursday at The Salvation Army Headquarters, 2871 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley.
The first meal is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, as Salvation Army announces its partnership with Carpenter’s Corner.
Carpenter’s Corner will close its kitchen on Prince Street on December 31 to become the Salvation Army Soup kitchen and provide meals daily from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm starting January 2.
The second meal will kick off at 5:00 pm, with doors opening at 4:30 pm.
A special Boys and Girls Club presentation will follow the evening’s event.
