Schools around the state are about to get upgrades.
Today, Governor Jim Justice, as chairman of the West Virginia School Building Authority, announced over $111-million to 19 counties for the 2024 fiscal year.
The funds will build 10 new schools and upgrade 13 schools.
This is history-making, as this is the largest award since 2011.
Here are details of the project.
Wyoming County will receive $15,711,654 to build a new Mullens Pre-K through 8 schools.
Fayette County will receive $15,625,860 to build a new Midland Trail Elementary school.
Greenbrier County will receive $6,707,058 to renovate Frankford Elementary School.
