Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)—The deadline to register to vote in the May primary is Tuesday, April 23.
Tuesday is also the deadline for voters to change their party affiliations.
To register, visit the Secretary of State’s website to submit a registration form.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot application is May 8.
Voters who want to hand deliver their ballots must submit them to the county clerk by May 13.
If you want to mail in your absentee ballot, it must be postmarked by the May 14 election date to be accepted.
Electronic absentee ballots must be submitted by the close of the polls on election day.
In-person early voting kicks off on May 1- 11.
