BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Raleigh General Hospital will lift visitation restrictions put in place in response to COVID-19.
Starting on May 26th, the hospital will transition from a zero-visitor protocol to limited visitor restrictions. Visitation hours are now from 2 pm to 6 pm. Social distancing and mask requirements will remain in place, and visitors under the age of 12 are not allowed inside the facility.
“This is one of our most challenging decisions to reduce visitation into the hospital, but it was absolutely necessary to ensure that we protect our patients, employees, and providers. Hopefully, this puts a smile on their face and bring comfortable to the patient and the family members,” said CEO Matthew Roberts.
Raleigh General Hospital will continue to screen everyone who enters the facility for symptoms consistent with COVID-19. For additional updates on visitor restrictions, visit RaleighGeneral.com.
