Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority resumes recycling program

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – On July 1st, Raleigh County residents can start recycling their trash at Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority.

The drop off-center program was suspended in April due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. According to the center, there will be individual bins to separate plastics, paper, and aluminum. Those wanting to drop off their recycling will have to practice social distancing.

“It helps the environment and it can also save money on residents throwing their trash away, with recycling not being thrown in the trash will save residents money in the long run,” said Representative Travis Kiblinger.
