Beckley, WV (WOAY) Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority is bringing free family fun to parks across the county with the launch of its new mobile recreation unit, Rollin’ Rec.
The community is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 23, at Dry Hill Prosperity Park in Beckley.
The ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by games, recreation activities, organized group play, and other family-friendly fun from 5:30 until 7:30.
The authority is also launching “Movies on the Move,” a free outdoor movie series that will visit local parks throughout the summer.
Additional Rollin’ Rec and movie events are planned at both Dry Hill Prosperity Park and Fitzpatrick Park through the end of July.
