Beckley, WV (WOAY)- A Raleigh County delegate has just stepped down from the role.
Charleston affiliate, WCHS, reports that Brandon Steele has officially resigned, effective immediately.
Steele represented the Mountain State’s 42nd district
The official resignation letter does not state a reason for the move, which comes weeks before the 2026 legislative session.
Raleigh county republicans are now tasked with finding nominees to fill the empty role, to be appointed by Governor Patrick Morrissey as the district’s new delegate.
