Shady Spring, WV (WOAY)- The Raleigh County Commission says it’s both pleased and grateful after hearing from Department of Highways officials that long-awaited relief is finally on the way for Shady Spring drivers. Â
According to the Department of Highways and the Department of Transportation, crews expect to lay new asphalt pavement by the end of June along the Z-way from Hinton Road through the Beaver Area. Â
That stretch of road has been a source of frustration for many, with rough patchwork making the construction zone difficult to navigate. Â
Officials say the fresh paving should significantly improve driving conditions between Beaver and Shady Spring.Â
