Quick moving rain after midnight with fall weather on the way

After another warm day in Appalachia, we are finally looking at fall-like weather returning to our area. A cold front is currently heading our way and will bring much cooler temperatures for the week ahead. We’re talking about highs in the mid to upper 60s and low 70s all week long. It’ll be a great time for those ready to bring out their fall gear.

As the cold front approaches, we should remain mostly dry; however, a quick line of showers will move in as the front passes. This rain looks to hold off until after midnight, when most of us are already in bed. Tomorrow, we’ll wake up to dry conditions again, which will last for the week ahead. Tomorrow morning, we’ll be in the 50s, with mid to upper 60s expected later in the day.

Some days this week will be slightly warmer, while others will be a bit cooler. Overall, enjoy the week if you’re looking forward to fall activities!
